Leo, I received your email in regard to Big Dogs I signed up just recently actually the beginning of June (this month) and after receiving your email my first reaction was to cancel all of the CHIP programs! You see your email confirmed what I was gradually feeling that it was outdated and possibly the market was saturated with Big Dogs. Leo let me say that I started off with the intention of giving it all I had but ater sending out the emails through all of the CHIP programs for the past 10 days I received about 2 - 3 clicks a day. I monitored it through Adminder and I was very careful to make sure I done everything correctly? I also changed the wording to see if it would improve but to no avail. Now it does not take a genius to realise that if you only get two or three clicks maximum a day and you need at least 100 clicks to get a sale well to my way of reasoning the writing is on the wall as to the outcome? Also a sale being $8.00 or something I must be nuts? and laying out $300.00 per month on advertising! So after the last two days I have been getting that sinking feeling that something is not quite right here and on receiving your email it confirmed my worst fears! Yes you are quite right my email box is filling up with other marketeers email? I really am so disappointed because I really put my trust in this program after my previous horrors it has left me very disappointed and fed up with the whole situation! I only got 66 clicks to this time and I used my Adminer to check it out the clicks, activties and sales but only clicks  To me, I find those traffic companies used to recycle 'old' email lists thru their reports after sending my 'set and forget' mailings. I am just taking the mickey out of you I know!  But truly, I must say that I am sympathetic and in complete agreement with the report you sent me. All of it is so true, and I have also been aware of these internet marketing pitfalls and shortcomings for a long time. I also believed that some of your useful advice on the method best employed in regard to building a solid date base, had already instinctively come to mind whilst trying to formulate a best method in which to market my business, a while back also.  Basically what it all boils down to is - the callous lack of caring, and genuine lack of eagerness to try and not only help oneself, but also do your utmost to help along others who are also keen to become successful business builder on the net, is where the problem lies in becoming truly successful longterm  (Unless you have solid financial backing and you can afford to hang in there in your pool of fellow sharks).  I have experienced over time that keeping in touch with people, who have shown a spark of genuine desire, to join my Dreamflight Travel business, is all it took for me to keep on nurturing a kind of friendship to turn these folks into business partners.  And I have always maintained if 'they do well, so will we do well in this type of industry such as many of us are involved with on the Internet.  Some had expressed lack of funds to pull them out of that Catch 22 situation. For these instances, I was ready to forfeit my own commission on any new referrals, serving as a discount for towards their one time only payment for Membership registration fees charges.    I have found that this worked well, and as a result have now got many friends as well as business partner in my downline!   The total lack of genuine caring about other people's welfare, and the pure selfish striving for No1, has a place in the scheme of things I suppose, but I truly believe that being able to sleep tight at night is worth a lot more than deluding so many people who were finding after a long struggle and much expense in the process, that those gurus' promises remained the elusive pie in the sky for many.   I don't belong to that group of entrepreneurs.  And I am intriqued by your sense of humour and enjoyed your report immensely.  I will further explore your site and take in what your company's affiliation is all about.  So for now bear with me, as I am currenly answering to growing responsibilites owing to several new members that have signed up in my business and who come first.   When I have some quality time to spare, I will sit down and read to find out what suggestions you are offering to enhance my marketing strategies.  I may find that you are no different to the masses, or perhaps you do have something different to offer. For one thing there aren't even that many leads anymore. The only reason I still make lots of sales (I had 35 last month and 16 so far this month) is because of my ad writing skills and my credibility. Otherwise I don't see how anyone can succeed with this business anymore. I am going to take your suggestion and start sending my people to your Kiosk conference room. I hope it will help them. I don't want to scare them off on Big Dogs because that would be cutting my own throat but I will let them know there are things they can do to help them succeed with this program. Your Friend, Jim     Dear Leo, I will give you an outline of all that I have tried over the last seven years or more.   I started with "the little Boot Camp" $20.00 in every email. Ha. Was so complicated and I sure didn t a dime.   That was 1997 or 98 around there, than I went to the big one Twenty fist Century Travelers going make big bucks selling travel information to others. Cost $200.00   After I joined the Nurse who was my sponsor quit two days after she received my money, so there went a sponsor who promised to train me. And all the rest.Also was stuck for a merchant account purchasing machine, still in its same box it was mailed to me. $5,000. Thought it was part of the business not extra.   Than there was Earnmoreteam,(MCI)  with Frank Lucino, I believe was his name, this was a business that I cant even remember what I sold, health a beauty aides. Well my daughter got sick and I requested my $309.00 back 3 days after I had mailed it to him. After many complaints to the BBB and online business I never did get my money back.   Terry Dean had a cheap business than been so long I lost about $30.00 .   Than Retired Quickly, thought that was a great business, I liked mainly the debt Avalanche program that it offered. It showed how to pay off your bills faster, and it did, so really have not too many regrets there, the sponsor I had was real promising, about 2 weeks after I joined she went on vacation, and there I was floundering like some ninny trying to figure out what to do, when she returned she quit because she was not making any money. Another down the tube. I lost about $50 for 2 months.   Than there was the Melaluca x 4 sponsoring was terrible, and no help at all so each time I joined was another $50 for the kits and cost of there products which I do like. I lasted about 6 months the first time and a few weeks after that I had enough.   2003, Prepaid Legal, didn t work out either, so I just didn’t pay anymore and didnt do anything without a sponsor for the training. Cost about $45.for the kit.   Extremely Exquise business, major connections, bought products, Health products, stayed there about 8 months advertising my heart out never got one member, but my sponsor sure did, nor did I make one cent. Lost about $200.00.   Oh , yes there was Ameriplan, try to get 4 brokers, and 6 customers a day to make a buck. I didnt get that too work either. Stayed in it the first time for about 3 months. The woman who signed me up later I found out ($20.00) didn’t turn in the money. So really I was not a member.   Visions4success still on line today, worked for 9 months, didnt buy the products, my job was too do the advertising (cost $99.00 one time fee , now $299 to get in ) and pay for the leads, autoresponder and there (sponsors) was to call the prospects, in the first 3 weeks I had 77 prospects using Key2net leads, that were a trial basis to fish you in deeper. I bit and that was $35 a month, the cost of the autoresponder was $20 a month, So all that time I did not earn one cent.  All this and all I would have earned was $100.00.  They only called three people out of the 77 so the rest was gone. Unless they could have given them to someone else, one never knows.   So there is Prepaid Legal again, under my husbands name, joined with all the intentions of this is the one that I will retire with", Ha, the sponsor who signed me up decided that my credit card was for his use, and charged business cards, paid two other members fee with it. Charges are now being made for his to visit the county jail. Than to make matter even worse they would not give me my money back for the kit that I had returned 2 week after joining. So another $49.00   Marathon Project was another small business that had a lot of free tools, for $10.00 a month, was to get people to join but after 5 months no one did and it went out of business this month.   SFI, for several months, lots of free members but no one joined up to buy products so there was any residual income down the tube. Had 79 members under me. Lost about $100 or less there.   Now I am working on Vemma and maybe hope full not going to say yet, have one paid member at this time. We will see.  Investment the cost of the product with shipping and handling about $70 and than the traffic wave $17.00 this is the first month will cancel., and a $5,00 a month fffa site.   Also a free silver memeber with Veretekk, but havent decided about up grading.   What a history there is probably one or two that I have missed. But I have tried a lot of different things and have gotten no where. I have spent on a vacation of two weeks I know at least 120 hours trying to build a business that seem to never take off. So, Im willing to learn and willing to work, and wishing to retire. And replace my salary that I received in a nursing home. I'm slowly learning the system, but I sure wish they would print out some instructions instead of relying totally on the training calls. I need to make the silver program work before I can afford to upgrade to the gold, so I need to know if this is possible or am  I just wasting my time? If it is possible, what do I need to do? I'm a retired systems analyst so I understand the web and the computer. I'm able to put in the time necessary to make this work, I just need to know what to do and how to best do it. If I'm going to upgrade, I need to do it in such a way that I will be able to pay for the upgrade almost immediately from the system. You've been around for awhile, so how should I proceed? Here is what I have done so far. I have set up my configuration and sent out my first hammer last night. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to expect from that. but my leads under Bully Pulpit shows that I have 8936 FFAFarm leads and 9 vanity capture leads. I went to letters and sent myself a test of the Build Your Primary Business... letter. Quite frankly, I think these letters suck - they are long, boring, and unattractive. I think that any response to them would only be as a result of the massive quantities mailed out. I have a hard time reading them myself, so I doubt that their response rate is that good. I have done all that was asked of me and have changed ads three times and the result has been a complete negative. I am disappointed but not surprised as this is what generally happens to me.    I tend to cancel programmes that show no signs of a return and have not only cancelled Big Dogs but most of the FFA programmes I joined. One that may prove fruitful is Traffic Wave and i have continued with that programme although having attracted free members there have not been any who have upgraded. I do however seem to have generated a lot of leads.   I celebrated my 82nd birthday last year and am still very active and act on stage in Musicals and Gilbert & Sullivan operas. I left military service after WW2 as a Captain and after a period in broadcasting operated my own business in marketing and selling my own design gold printing press for home table use.     I live with my wife on the South coast of the UK on a now greatly reduced income and cannot afford to join the MOM programme at this time but would be most interested in joining with you on the terms you suggest.   I have attempted to listen to the various information sites on the web site but the speed and American intonation makes this almost impossible to pick up most of the spoken words. I much prefer to have the written word in front of me to be able to assimilate all that is being relayed.   As for telephoning prospects i am at a disadvantage here with the extreme time difference so that is not really possible. I have been very successful with face to face selling in my younger days but find the internet a very different matter.
